  This place got my daily medications completely wrong during an unexpected hospital stay. I almost died as a result. It was by far the most horrific experience of my life. I never want to go there again. Would rather die at home. This hospital should have been closed years ago.

  Worst experience ever!!!! My son came via ambulance for pain in the chest.....was told the wait was over 3 hours. Spoke with the registrar she said that’s great compared to how it normally is, unexceptionable on all levels this place is unorganized with respect to its patients. The conditions of this hospital are deplorable and unsanitary. If you can actually make it some where else please do so. Under no circumstances should you put your health at risk by visiting the hospital!!!

  Nursing staff rude, never identified who they are (no name), not able to answer a simple question, other staff have to speak for them, didn't explain hospital procedure nor a procedure that they will proform on you and being loud outside the room . The social worker requested a bed chair for the room and I never got it. The chairs are so uncomfortable to sleep siting up in for 6 to 7 hrs in the room with my child.Poor customer service on the nursing staff. The Doctor assigned to us was great! She identified who she was and explained the process. This was my first time at Southern Maryland Hospital and my last. Horrible experience.

  I'm ashamed and disgusted with this hospital!! My boyfriend almost wrecked the truck driving to the hospital because he had sharp chest pains. He said he felt ss if he was having a heart attack he couldn't breath! told him to pull over and luckily my brother was in the area to help. But due to previous uses with the ambulance timing and lack of assistance we decided to drive him selves. I pulled up to the area where the ambulance pulls up due to the fact he was saying his heart hurt I pulled up where I felt was necessary for his life! As soon as I got there there was a guy standing outside on the phone I told him "I needed his help I think my boyfriend is having a heart attack." He said ok and got off the phone and walked in the hospital..I walked to the passenger side of the car to open the door and try to help him out..the guy then eventually came out with a lady pushing a chair and then asking him to sit in the chair. I got distracted on the phone talking to his job, and a man came to me saying that they were going to take care of him he just needed me to move the car..no problem. First of all they seemed to have no sense of urgency to hey to him AT ALL!! So while I park the car and my brother parks his work truck , I proceed to walk back towards where I dropped him off at, as I walk into the hospital I see my boyfriend taking off the oxygen and taking things off his fingers and getting up! I was confused and asked what was wrong? People where just standing around like nothing was going on!? He then asked me to take him to another hospital while walking out. And with them standing there knowing his condition watched him and let him walk away. So while we are walking to the car he tells me he over hears people saying "I thought he was shot the way she came in here, that was unnecessary! ". Never again will I go there!!
